Personal Development and Employability Course

The personal development and employability courses delivered by Ashley Community Housing provide learners with a training programme designed to act as a spring board into employment or further learning. 

The latest courses spanned the month of June and were delivered in partnershipwith Bristol City Council’s ‘Learning Communities’ team by our tutor, Hazel, who was supported by volunteer Somali and Arabic translators and a specialist job coach.

Throughout the courses, learners engaged with a range of activities to develop skills in IT, searching and applying for jobs, and speaking about themselves and their ambitions. All learners enrolled on the course had the opportunity to put these skills into practise when they visited a local employability fair.

Ashley Housing are pleased to be able to offer progression routes both in our courses and with external providers for individuals who wish to continue developing their skills and knowledge.
